Membership association makes communicating with its members a whole lot easier

THE Institute of Asphalt Technology (IAT) has launched a brand-new smartphone app and updated website for its members and those interested in asphalt and highway maintenance.

With email fast becoming a difficult means of communication due to volume and spam filters, the IAT recognized the need to bring information straight to its members digitally and decided to launch an app for its members, to allow them to find technical information easily, see events in their local areas, and have their membership benefits readily available in real time.

Information about forthcoming events as well as the Institute’s Asphalt Laying Guide is available to all users, whilst additional features available to members include CPD recording and event registration.

IAT President Brian Downes said: ‘We are really pleased with the functionality of the app and feedback has been positive since its release last week, showing the need for organizations to find better ways of communicating with members and key stakeholders.’

The IAT app can be downloaded from both the App Store and Google Play Store. The IAT website at www.instituteofasphalt.org has also undergone a facelift and brings additional features such as industry News and an enhanced Search facility.
