I-R launch new products at Bauma

"Ingersoll-Rand launched a range of new products at the Bauma exhibition held earlier this month. The company’s Portable Power business showed the new 7/71 and 12/56 models, the latest additions to their Platinum series of portable compressors; the GenPowerSource range of fully enclosed generators was extended with the launch of the new G11 and G12 models; and Ingersoll-Rand Drilling Solutions launched two new crawler drills — the ECM-680 and ECM-660 models — designed for work on a variety of blasthole applications. Complementing the drills was the new Montabert 300 hammer for use on 6–16-tonne excavators. Several new road machine products including the VB 78 electric screed and the new Titan family of wheeled pavers were also on show."

"The 7/71 and 12/56 Platinum-series compressors feature a fuel-efficient, four-cylinder Ingersoll-Rand 41RJ7T engine, providing 59kW of power running at 2,300 rev/min."

"The ECM-680 and ECM-660 crawler drills produce holes from 102–127mm and 76–114mm in diameter, respectively. Both incorporate state-of-the-art hydraulic drifters — the HC-150R in the ECM-680 and the HC-120R in the ECM-660. A rebound energy-recovery valve captures rebound energy and uses it to change the drifter’s blow energy to match rock hardness."

"The Montabert 300 replaces the 270 hammer and is designed for trenching, concrete demolition, secondary breaking and general excavation work."

The new electrically heated Variomatic VB 78 screed offers infinite hydraulic adjustment of paving width from 2.5–5.0m. With screed extensions it can provide hydrauli- cally adjustable paving widths for mats up to 9.0m wide.

"The new family of three Titan wheeled paver-finishers — the 273, 373 and 473 — utilize the Deutz BF4M 1013C 113kW (150hp) diesel engine, providing extra capacity to power the generator for the new Variomatic VB 78 screed. In conjunction with the increased output of the engine, there is a larger hydraulic pump for the travel drive which has raised the gradeability to 23% for the standard 18-tonne pavers."
