Hydrema launch slimline ADT

HYDREMA have launched a slimline version of their 922C articulated dumptruck. Primarily designed for use on public roads in Scandinavia, the new machine is technically the same as the standard unit but has a maximum width of only 2.55m. To achieve the reduction in width the dump platform and front mudguards had to be adjusted and a new front axle and tyres were fitted.

At 15 tonnes, the vehicle is 1 tonne heavier than the standard 922C but still the lightest ADT in the 20–25-tonne sector, as well as retaining its high power-to-weight ratio. The 922C is powered by the latest Tier II 5.9-litre Cummins QSB engine which develops 253hp at 2,200 rev/min. The combination of the Cummins engine and the machine’s low net weight results in fuel consumption of approximately 14 litres/h.
