Health and safety recognition for Raymond Brown

RBMR receive RoSPA award

Hampshire-based company scoops three accolades at 2013 RoSPA Awards 

RAYMOND Brown Group are celebrating after three of their divisions received top industry recognition for their dedication to maintaining high standards of health and safety .

Raymond Brown Construction won their seventh consecutive gold at this year’s prestigious RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards, while Raymond Brown Minerals & Recycling picked up their fourth consecutive silver award. Raymond Brown Building were also awarded with their fourth consecutive RoSPA silver award. 

 

Two members of safety and environmental consultants HSQE Ltd, Steve Tubbs and Kieren Hush, accepted the three awards on behalf of the Raymond Brown Group at the ceremony in Birmingham, which took place alongside Safety and Health Expo 2013, Europe’s leading annual health and safety exhibition.

David Rawlins, RoSPA’s awards manager, said: ‘We firmly believe that organizations that demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement in accident and ill health prevention deserve recognition. The Raymond Brown Group have shown that it is committed to striving for such continuous improvement and we are delighted to honour it through presentation of the awards.’

Nick Muir, Raymond Brown Group’s health and safety manager, added: ‘It’s extremely rewarding to have our commitment to health and safety recognized by RoSPA, one of the oldest and most highly respected occupational award programmes. Health and Safety is at the forefront of every project undertaken by each of the group’s divisions and these awards reconfirm its importance.

‘We will continue to improve best practices across all of our activities, ultimately reducing the number of accidents and injuries on site. We have a skilled team in place, all of whom play a vital role in this area and take this issue extremely seriously.’
