First public appearance of Shindaiwa welder-generators in the UK

A warm welcome awaits visitors to the Shindaiwa stand at the Executive Hire Show next February where the company will be exhibiting its range of welder-generators in the UK for the very first time.

Although a new name in this country, Shindaiwa of Japan have established a worldwide reputation for designing and manufacturing high-quality equipment since being established in 1952.

On display will be three models with welding outputs of 165A, 200A and 300A, which are claimed to be the quietest, most reliable and powerful units currently available on the market.

Of particular interest should be the ECO165UK and ECO300UK models which both feature an advanced system of auto-idle. After a period of inactivity, this system automatically sets the optimum engine speed for the job in hand without first running at maximum rev/min, thereby reducing fuel consumption, noise and engine wear.

Shindaiwa’s welder-generators are also very quiet in operation. The trailer-mounted ECO300UK unit has a noise level of just 88dB (LWA) thanks to the design of the sound-proofed canopy around its fuel-efficient Kubota diesel engine.

This top-of-the-range model is equipped with an extra large, 37-litre capacity fuel tank that provides up to three days use. The ECO300UK also features a three-phase 415V, 8kVA supply for operating a wide variety of welding equipment in addition to its standard, single-phase 110V CTE, 3kVA output.

Andy Munford and the team at Wolverhampton-based Shindaiwa have a combined expertise of the UK hire industry spanning some 40 years and are basing their entire operation on a philosophy of providing an exceptional level of service and spares back-up.
