First JCB Wastemaster goes to Grundon

The first JCB 456HT Wastemaster to roll off the production line has been put to work at Grundon Waste Management Ltd’s Colnbrook site, one of the busiest waste facilities in west London which operates 24h a day, 365 days a year.

Major features of the 20-tonne machine include four-ram, parallel-lift loader geometry, an additional 960mm load-over height, a raised cab for improved visibility, an improved engine, reduced noise levels and better service access.

JCB say the design of the machine makes it well suited to rehandling industry, where visibility of the loader end is vital. At the Colnbrook site, the machine is handling recyclables using a pallet fork attachment mounted on a quick-hitch.
