First-ever US auction for Euro Auctions

Euro Auctions in the US

Euro Auctions’ recently acquired site in Atlanta, Georgia, to hold first sale on 26 June 2013

IN excess of 400 lots of construction machinery and industrial equipment are scheduled to go under the hammer next month when Euro Auctions – the UK’s largest auctioneers of construction machinery and industrial equipment – hold their first-ever unreserved auction in the US.

The event will take place on 26 June 2013 at Euro Auctions’ recently acquired 65-acre site that runs parallel to Interstate 85, in Newnan, near Atlanta, Georgia.

‘We have long aspired to enter the US market, so in acquiring this site in late 2012 we have located Euro Auctions squarely at the hub of the American equipment industry,’ said a spokesperson for the Northern Ireland-based company.

‘Over recent years we’ve forged excellent relationships with major US companies and have already secured some exceptional construction and industrial machinery from across the south-eastern US for this, our first US auction.’

Euro Auctions say the Newnan action site has an elevated position and rolling topography, with a boundary of 4,600ft fronting directly on to the Interstate and a further 2,800ft on Raymond Hill, making it both easily accessible and highly visible to passing traffic.

The site also has extensive hard standings and over 50,000 square feet of on-site accommodation including the main drive through auction hall; administration building and offices; cafeterias; as well as two equipment preparation and spray workshops.

The event on 26 June event will mark the start of regular auctions at the Atlanta site, with another planned before the end of the year and four further auctions envisioned for 2014.
