First CASE Certified Used machine hits the market

CASE Certified Used machine

LDH Plant register first CASE Certified Used machine following programme launch in 2019

CASE Construction Equipment dealers LDH Plant have registered the first CASE Certified Used machine.

Following the successful launch of the CASE Certified Used programme at bauma 2019, CASE rolled out training to dealers across Europe to prepare them for the rigorous certification process.

CASE Certified Used is a new way to own a CASE machine, with all machines tested, inspected and then certified to the highest standard to ensure as-new performance.

We were attracted to this offering from the start,’ said Michael Ward, chief executive officer of LDH Plant. ‘There is certainly a gap in the market between brand-new machines and traditional used equipment; this offering fills that gap.

‘The certification for the CASE Certified Used range is rigorous, there are over 120 different checkpoints on the way to a machine becoming certified. Any part that isn’t up to standard is replaced with CASE genuine parts, meaning we can deliver a premium quality offering with a lower total cost of ownership.

‘Our engineers are fully trained on the certification procedure and we are proud to be the first CASE dealer to register a CASE Certified Used machine. The CASE 2050M dozer is for sale on the CASE used website and will soon be available on the Mascus website too.

‘This is the first of many machines LDH Plant will register under the programme. We already have two CASE excavators in the certification process, which will be available for sale very soon.’

In order to be considered as CASE Certified Used, machines must be less than four years old and have less than 3,000 operating hours for compact machines and less than 6,000 hours for heavy-duty machines.

The equipment must also have a full preventative maintenance history and undergo a full maintenance programme as part of the certification process.

‘We know that a low total cost of ownership is key in the buying decision,’ explained Jean-Philippe Soussan, global head of remarketing with CNH Industrial’s Construction Segment.

‘But this doesn’t mean that our customers need to compromise on quality. Our certification process ensures as-new performance. The process is thorough and tough, but it is the best way to ensure quality for our customers.

‘We are delighted by how our dealers have embraced the programme. They clearly see the value and we know that customers will too.’

The launch of the new CASE Certified Used range was followed by the announcement of CASE’s relationship with Mascus, the world’s fastest-growing website for buying and selling heavy machinery.

CASE used machines, including the CASE Certified Used range, are now available to buy online and are visible to the 3 million European customers visiting the Mascus platform every month.
