57-year-old worker dies following serious ‘industrial accident’ at Lincolnshire quarry

A QUARRY worker has died of his injuries following an industrial accident at Stainby Quarry, on Crabtree Road, in Buckminster, near Grantham. According to BBC News, Lincolnshire Police were called at about 11am on Monday 3 July after an ‘industrial accident involving an HGV and an employee’ at the Lincolnshire quarry site. The 57-year-old man, who has not yet been named, was pronounced dead at the scene. 

According to local press reports, two ambulances, several police cars and other support vehicles, including the use of a police drone, attended the quarry. The Health and Safety Executive have been informed and are assisting the police with the investigation.
