EnviroHub to debut at Hillhead

EnviroHub

Fast-growing water quality management system to take centre stage on Atlantic Pumps stand

HILLHEAD 2022 will see the debut of the much-talked-about water quality management system EnviroHub.

Launched to the quarrying industry in 2020, EnviroHub has since enjoyed continued growth both in the UK and overseas. The last six months have also seen the brand introduced to the construction industry in the UK where nationwide take-up has been rapid.

With sites now required to provide proof of safe water disposal and water quality checks routinely being carried out by the Environment Agency and SEPA, a robust treatment and monitoring system, such as EnviroHub, plays a vital role. Disposing of water that contains pollutants can result in heavy fines and can damage a company’s reputation.

In addition to monitoring and reporting water quality on site, EnviroHub can inform the site if the water is unsafe to be disposed of and can automatically intervene. Furthermore, the relevant system ensures that any water the site is to dispose of is treated and free from pollutants.

EnviroHub is owned by Atlantic Pumps, however it will not be the only debutant on Atlantic’s stand; also making a first appearance at Hillhead will be an example of one of the company’s new dredgers. Perfect for quarries, the dredgers are particularly suitable for use in complex and hard-to-reach environments.

Used in Europe at sites such as ports, quarries, and mines, the small, powerful dredgers can be used to mount pumps and dredging equipment and can be operated in shallow waters. The dredgers are also remote controlled, which ensures operator safety should they be working in the presence of acidic or corrosive substances.

The dredgers can also be transported and assembled more easily than larger dredgers, which provides the owner with savings both in terms of time and start-up costs.

Visitors can learn more about both EnviroHub and the dredgers by visiting Atlantic Pumps on stand A12 where staff will also be on hand to offer advice on pumps, how to reduce pump-related downtime on site, and how to save money.

‘Atlantic are the only UK pump manufacturer dedicated to the quarrying industry and we’re very much looking forward to being back at Hillhead to meet both new and existing clients,’ said managing director Andy Smith.

‘Hillhead is really key to our industry and is home from home for us. Since our last visit, we’ve even moved into Derbyshire, so it’s even physically just down the road!

‘We have also significantly developed our complete ‘dewatering to discharge’ concept, so a visit to the stand should prove helpful for virtually all quarry operators.’
