ECCO introduce ECCOLED-series beacons

ECCOLED beacon

New compact and robust vehicle beacons offer all the benefits of LED in a competitive package

ECCO Safety Group – multinational designers and manufacturers of vehicle safety solutions – have launched their new ECCOLED-series beacon range, which utilizes powerful LEDs that are arranged to produce a 360° light output.

Offering increased electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and available in a popular housing design with four standard mounting options, the robust and compact ECCOLED-series beacons are suitable for a variety of vehicles, including applications where UK lighting regulation Chapter 8 is a requirement. The range is designed to withstand excessive vibration for increased product life.

ECCO differentiate ECCOLED into Bronze, Silver and Gold beacon ranges, all of which feature long-life LED technology, are R10 approved and operate on 12–24V. The Silver and Gold beacon ranges are R65 approved, whilst the beacons in the Gold range also benefit from multiple flash pattern, synchronizable functions and are tested and approved to original equipment manufacturer (OEM) specifications.

Having been subject to, and outperformed, the harshest test environments, the Bronze range is backed by a two-year warranty period, whilst the Silver and the Gold have three- and five-year warranty periods respectively.

James Marsden, product manager at ECCO, said: ‘This new strategy gives the customer a clear direction as to which product they need for which application. We are offering three different levels of the product in the same robust housing, with our premium Gold option being designed alongside industry-leading OEMs.

ECCO Safety Group design and manufacture ECCO- and Code 3-branded products for the commercial and emergency markets. Their complete range of products includes beacons, lightbars, minibars, directional LEDs, worklamps, camera systems, back-up alarms, mandatory lighting and off-highway vehicle mirrors.
