Doosan to show DX225LC excavator at Rental Show

Crawler excavator with a clamp bucket to be exhibited at New Orleans show

At the Rental Show in New Orleans from 5-8 February 2012, Doosan will be exhibiting the company’s DX225LC crawler excavator equipped with a clamp bucket.

With specifications that include a maximum digging depth of 6.11m, maximum digging reach at ground level of 9.3m and a maximum dump height of 6.83m, the DX225LC excavator combines high performance with an excellent working range for a machine of this size. The DX225LC has an operating weight of 21,500kg with standard boom, arm and 0.51m3 bucket. The bucket breakout force is 149kN while the arm breakout force is 123 kN.

Like all Doosan medium and heavy excavators, the DX225LC features an electronic power optimizing system (EPOS) that maximizes machine productivity while minimizing fuel consumption. The EPOS connects the excavator’s hydraulic system and engine controls via a data transfer link. Advantages include the availability of a power mode and a normal operating mode for maximum efficiency under all conditions; electronic control of fuel consumption; automatic deceleration for even more fuel savings; and regulation and precise control of the hydraulic flow rate required by various machine components.

The spacious cab features an adjustable suspension seat with headrest and adjustable armrest. Joystick controls telescope up and down according to the operator’s preference and a multi-function colour LCD monitor panel displays a variety of machine information, including operation history, flow rate control and filter/oil information.

Easy-to-operate joystick controls make precise machine movements easy, while supplementary buttons are available for control of additional equipment such as the clamp bucket, grabs, crushers and grippers. Operator fatigue is also minimized by the sound-suppressed cab, which keeps machine noise as low as possible. The noise level at the operator’s ear is 73dBA while the noise level for bystanders is a low 103dBA.
