Doosan open new distribution centre in MEA region

Bobcat and Doosan distribution centre in Dubai

New distribution facility will deliver Bobcat and Doosan parts to more than 90% of the region within 24h

DOOSAN Construction Equipment have opened a new parts distribution centre (PDC) for Bobcat/Doosan products at the Jebel Ali Free Zone in Dubai. The PDC – opened in partnership with Agility, a global logistics provider – will provide parts support for dealers and customers of Bobcat and Doosan Portable Power in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region.

Along with the existing Doosan PDC at Puurs in Belgium, the company will now be able to deliver parts to more than 90% of the region within 24h.

Gaby Rhayem, regional director in the Middle East and North Africa, commented: ‘With the opening of the new Dubai PDC, we will be able to provide a much better parts service for our dealers and customers throughout the MEA region. As well as enhancing our aftermarket service, the facility demonstrates our strong commitment to the MEA market.’

The storage space for Bobcat and Doosan Portable Power parts covers an area of 1,540 square  metres and provides 3,500 separate parts locations.

Erik Van Der Goot, head of parts for Doosan Construction Equipment in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), said: ‘The new Dubai PDC will strengthen brand loyalty for Bobcat, whilst creating more customer solutions. Our dealers do a wonderful job of selling the first machine into our customers, but with the increased parts support from the Dubai PDC, we can have a very important role in helping to secure the sale of further machines to the same customers.’
