CRH group finance director succession

Jim Mintern

As announced in March, Jim Mintern has succeeded Senan Murphy with effect from 1 June 2021

CRH plc have confirmed that, as announced on 23 March 2021, Jim Mintern has succeeded Senan Murphy as group finance director and joined the board of directors with effect from 1 June 2021.

Mr Mintern (pictured) has more than 30 years’ experience in the building materials industry, nearly 20 years of which have been with CRH. He joined CRH as finance director for Roadstone and since then has held several senior positions across the Group, including country manager for Ireland and managing director of the Western and Eastern regions of CRH’s Europe Materials Division.

 

Most recently he was chief of staff to CRH chief executive Albert Manifold, where he worked closely with divisional and operational leadership and had oversight of the Group’s performance, safety and special projects activities, and led a number of performance improvement initiatives in recent years. Mr Mintern is also a member of the Acquisitions, Divestments & Finance Committee.

Mr Manifold commented: ‘I am very pleased that Jim has been appointed to this role. His strong financial background, coupled with his extensive industry experience, prepares him well for this critical leadership role and comes at an important time for the Group.’
