Concrete milestone for Hills Quarry Products

Millionth cubic metre of ready-mixed concrete

Company celebrates production of its millionth cubic metre of ready-mixed concrete

It is not often that a company can manufacture its own milestones, but that is what Hills Quarry Products achieved when they produced their millionth cubic metre of ready-mixed concrete earlier this month.

Group director Peter Andrew (far right of photo) said: ‘Since opening our first concrete plant back in 2005, our business has grown despite some very tough trading conditions over the years. We now have five plants spread across Wiltshire, Berkshire, Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire and Dorset, all selling a quality certified product that customers can rely on.’

Hills marked the milestone occasion with the production of a replica cube which now stands in the company’s offices in Swindon. Mini concrete cubes have also been distributed to employees and customers to mark the occasion, and ideas on how to use the cubes are being shared on Twitter using the hashtag #MillionCube.
