Decades of experience gives TG Concrete division a firm foundation for new product innovation

STAFF from a building supplies company may have clocked up more than 130 years’ service between them – yet they are still among the leaders when it comes to new products and innovation.

TG Concrete division is part of the Tudor Griffiths Group, and their specialist team deal with both commercial and domestic customers. Now their latest innovation is coloured ready-mixed concrete, which is said to be proving extremely popular with all kinds of clients.

General manager Dave Morris said: ‘We’re very proud to have such a long-standing and capable team at TG Concrete, and thanks to the skills and knowledge of our experts, our customers can be assured of the very best service at all times.

‘And with our latest new product, coloured concrete, customers can now choose from a range of six standard colours – with extended options up to more than 20 colours in all – to create an eye-catching feature.’

According to Mr Morris (second from right), the coloured concrete is both durable and adaptable, and customers have already used it for driveways, patios, paths and internal flooring.

‘It’s certainly changing the way customers view concrete and they’ve told us it’s creating a whole host of new possibilities for all kinds of situations,’ he said.

Tudor Griffiths Group have a network of 12 ready-mixed concrete plants covering a wide area from mid-Wales to the Llyn Peninsula, as well as Cheshire and Shropshire. The company also operates the only sand and gravel quarry in Gwynedd – Cefn Graianog Quarry, between Porthmadog and Caernarfon.

As well as the concrete division, Tudor Griffiths Group is also made up of a network of builders’ merchants, a waste services division, and an experienced electrical team, with its head office just outside Ellesmere.
