CEMEX UK deliver a new future with CEMEX Go

CEMEX Go

Company says its new fully digital customer integration platform is set to revolutionize the industry

CEMEX UK are introducing the first-of-its-kind fully digital customer integration platform on to the UK construction and building market, and say it will revolutionize the way in which the company and its customers do business. Ultimately, this will change the way in which not only CEMEX, but also the industry conducts its day-to-day business.

CEMEX Go uses the latest digital-industrial technology available through desktops and mobile devices to allow customers to place orders, track shipments, manage invoices and make payments for CEMEX’s building products, including bagged and bulk cement, ready-mixed concrete and aggregates. Customers can access their account at any time and the information is delivered in real time.

In 2017, CEMEX Go was introduced in Mexico and the US, and as from today a dozen customers in the UK will be doing business with CEMEX UK digitally through CEMEX Go.

Michel Andre, country president of CEMEX UK, commented: ‘CEMEX Go is the first platform of its kind offered in our industry and creates an experience for our customers that is superior to anything that has been provided in the past. For our customers, doing business with CEMEX UK will be revolutionized and will give real benefits in terms of time and efficiency.’

One of the customers who will be using the new platform from today is Technic Concrete Floors. The company constructs concrete floors in industrial settings throughout the UK using traditional mesh reinforcement, steel and polyfibres, and has worked closely with CEMEX UK, using the company’s ready-mixed concrete.

Director Darren Murgatroyd commented: ‘The introduction of CEMEX Go will undoubtedly bring massive benefits to our business. We will be able to track the deliveries and look at efficiency levels/wastage, which, in turn, will support our environmental strategies and improved invoicing process. We are looking forward to working with CEMEX on this new digital platform.’

CEMEX Go is just one of several major initiatives aimed at embracing the digital age and offering everyone in the industry the opportunity to become smarter and more efficient. Earlier this year, the first CEMEX Hackathon event was held in Cambridge, UK, bringing together self-starters and inspired thinkers. The aim was to create a model to help the company mobilize its workers so that innovation becomes part of every employee’s DNA.
