CEMEX gain top quality award
UK Aggregates division achieves BS EN ISO 9001 certification for its quality management systems
CEMEX Aggregates have been awarded BS EN ISO 9001 in recognition of their commitment to quality management systems used in the production and supply of aggregates to their customers, and to continuous improvement procedures.
For customers, this measure will increase their confidence in CEMEX’s high-quality products and services. Lex Russell, CEMEX UK operation’s vice-president aggregates and asphalt, commented: ‘This certification is very important to us and to our customers. They now have tangible evidence that all our quarries supply high-quality products and we endeavour to offer the highest-quality service.’
The ISO 9001 certification was awarded by CPC (Construction Products Certification) – a government-approved body following a series of independent audits at a number of quarries in the final quarter of 2010. Other business divisions within CEMEX UK, including Asphalt, Cement and Building Products, have also achieved this standard.
