Carr & Bircher choose Case

Essex-based Carr & Bircher have selected Case equipment to spearhead their waste-handling and recycling operations. Supplied by CRMS, Europe’s largest Case construction equipment dealers, the machines include a 210 hydraulic excavator and an 85XT skid-steer loader.

The Case 210 was supplied with cab protection and air-conditioning, and is equipped for recycling duties with a heavy-duty grapple to sort skip refuse, crush material where necessary, and pick and load scrap metal. The Case 85XT skid-steer loader is used around the site to sort and segregate recycled material. CRMS also loaned the company a 10-tonne Case 521 DXT wheel loader while they awaited delivery of a new unit.

Elsewhere at the site a Rubblemaster RM60 recycling crusher is used for the processing of construction and demolition waste to produce hardcore, aggregates and topsoil.
