BrakeSafe brake tester

Turnkey Instruments, manufacturers of the Simret brake-testing range, have introduced the BrakeSafe brake tester.

Designed for yard testing vehicle brakes, the easy-to-use equipment requires no external connections to the vehicle so a test can be carried out in a matter of minutes. Operator and plant identification can be added via barcodes or a keypad, while Turnkey's Brake for Windows software allows the user to create periodical graphs to view brake deterioration and also report in spreadsheet format.

Featuring a built-in printer, each test can be printed off immediately or stored in the BrakeSafe unit's memory for later retrieval or downloading. For braking systems on large off-road plant, an external trigger, which is positioned on the brake pedal, can also be added to record brake delay.
