Boral sell Melbourne landfill business

Company completes sale of Western Landfill business in Melbourne to Transpacific Industries

BORAL Ltd have completed the sale of their Western Landfill business in Melbourne to Transpacific Industries (TPI).

In line with the announcement made in December 2014, Boral have received a A$150 million upfront payment for the sale of the business plus approximately A$15 million for site preparation work.

Boral will also receive a long-term earnings stream from TPI in the form of fixed payments and volume-based royalties for the life of the landfill, with the earnings stream expected to be around A$15 million per annum, depending on volumes, with the potential to grow over time.
