Bobcat to show new machines at concrete show

E26 mini-excavator and attachments to be exhibited at World of Concrete 2012

Bobcat will be exhibiting the new E26 mini-excavator and new laser grader and concrete mixing attachments for use by concrete and flooring contractors for the first time at World of Concrete 2012. The laser grader and concrete mixing attachments will be mounted on the latest compact loader models from Bobcat including the T870 compact tracked loader and the S630 skid-steer loader.

Powered by the 15.5kW Kubota D1105-E2B-BCZ-2 diesel engine, the new 2.6-tonne zero-tail-swing E26 mini-excavator offers all the advantages of the new E-generation of excavators from Bobcat, namely high reliability, operator comfort, smooth workgroup operation and superior hydraulic performance. In addition, the E26 offers increased stability, optimized operating weight for towing and low noise and vibration, complemented by new features and technologies that are not yet available in many mini-excavators on the market.

The increased stability ensures that the E26 mini-excavator does not require an additional counterweight when configured with the optional long dipperstick. The maximum digging depth (long arm) of the E26 is 2,582mm (2,890mm), the maximum dump height (long arm) is 3,057mm (3,239mm) and the maximum reach at ground level (long arm) is 4,553mm (4,966mm).

World of Concrete will play host to the newest addition to the range of grader attachments from Bobcat that transforms the company’s compact loaders into high-performance grading machines designed for use by landscaping, asphalt, kerb, gutter and concrete surfacing contractors. Bobcat grading products are suitable for a wide variety of applications, including work on roads, pavements, concrete flatwork, tennis courts, utilities, and landscaping projects.

The graders feature six-way hydraulically controlled moldboards, operated with switches mounted on the loader's steering levers for precise fingertip control. The graders provide a long wheelbase to achieve consistent grade with ease.

For a smoother operation and greater precision, the graders can be converted from a standard grader into a laser grader quickly and easily. The operator only needs to mount the receiver poles, clamp the laser receivers onto the poles and plug in the harnesses. With the laser system, the farther the blade is from grade, the more quickly it will move to grade.

A new improved concrete mixing bucket will also be shown by Bobcat allowing users to mix, transport and pour concrete and cement much more quickly than with a stand-alone mixer. The mixing bucket offer two types of discharge: the ‘traditional’ method by tipping the bucket forward to empty it or by using the side-discharge system, with or without a tube, allowing the operator to place the desired amount of mixed material (cement/concrete) exactly where they want it.
