Bobcat compact equipment at the Rental Show

Compact excavators, tracked loaders, skid-steer loaders together with a range of attachments to be shown at The Rental Show 2012

Bobcat will be showing a cross-section of products from the company’s market leading compact equipment range at The Rental Show 2012, including the new E26 2.6-tonne compact excavator. Suitable for use in the rental industry, the Bobcat range of compact excavators and loaders will be represented by the E26 and E35 compact excavators, the MT55 mini-tracked loader and the S650 and S175 skid-steer loader models, equipped with buckets, pallet forks and other products from the comprehensive Bobcat range of attachments.

Bobcat have launched the new 2.6-tonne zero-tail-swing E26 compact excavator to target the 2-3-tonne market segment. The new E26 is powered by the 15.5kW Kubota D1105-E2B-BCZ-2 diesel engine and has a new air intake, cooling and exhaust system, helping to reduce noise for both the operator and bystanders (operator noise level is 77dBA and bystander noise is 91dBA).

As well as high performance and reliability, operator comfort, smooth workgroup operation and superior hydraulic performance, the increased stability of the E26 ensures that an additional counterweight is not required when the machine is configured with the optional long dipperstick. This increases the working range while still limiting the weight of the cabbed long-arm version of the E26 to 2,700kg to allow it to be transported by trailer (maximum towable weight, including trailer: 3.5 tonnes).

The maximum digging depth (long arm) of the E26 is 2,582mm (2,890mm), the maximum dump height (long arm) is 3,057mm (3,239mm) and the maximum reach at ground level (long arm) is 4,553mm (4,966mm).

The S650 model is part of the new generation of Bobcat skid-steer, compact tracked and all-wheel steer loaders. The S650 is a vertical-lift path loader with an operating weight of 3,777kg, a rated operating capacity of 1,220kg and a tipping load of 2,440kg.

The new generation Bobcat loaders are characterized by several innovative features. Prominent among them is the design of the spacious new premium cab, which is located in a new forward position.

  • Forward position offers 30% increase in all-round visibility for the operator
  • Forward visibility further enhanced by 40% larger door
  • Visibility through top, side and rear windows all significantly enhanced
  • Ample adjustment in seat and suspension to suit individual preference
  • Performance of heating and air conditioning system increased by 35%
  • Optional selectable joystick controls.

Powered by an efficient Kubota V3307-DI-TE3 55.4kW Stage IIIA diesel engine, the S650 has a height of 2,065mm, a width and length with bucket of 1,880mm and 3,474mm, respectively, and a bucket hinge pin height of 3,149mm. Standard hydraulic flow has been increased to 87.1 litres/min (high flow of 115.5 litres/min an option) and maximum travel speed is 19.8 km/h (optional).

The MT55 mini-tracked loader is suitable for mechanizing manual work in confined and limited access areas where it is not possible to use larger machines. With an overall width with bucket of just 903mm, length of 3,113mm (with bucket and standing platform) and height of 1,246mm, the MT55 is suitable for digging, loading and clean-up applications (both indoor and out), particularly on construction, demolition and landscaping sites.

Powered by a 17.5kW Kubota D902-E3B diesel engine, the MT55 has a rated operating capacity (ISO 5998) of 251kg, a tipping load (ISO 8313) of 719kg and a pushing force of 9,386N. With the arms in the fully raised position, the MT55 has a height to hinge pin of 1,807mm and a dump height of 1,265mm.
