‘Best Exporter’ award for EDGE Innovate

EDGE Innovate

Company celebrates after winning category for ‘best exporter’ in Mid-Ulster Business Awards

EDGE Innovate recently scooped the title ‘Best Exporter’ at the Mid-Ulster Business Awards. This is the second year the company has entered the awards, having won the award for ‘Best Environmental Impact Business’ in 2014.

The Mid-Ulster region is home to one of the world’s most successful engineering clusters and has been cited as the manufacturing source of up to 80% of all crushing and screening equipment worldwide.

With exports being a prime element of many celebrated manufacturing businesses in the region, EDGE Innovate said they were delighted to have topped the category for ‘Best Exporter’.

Having sold units into 31 different countries, EDGE Innovate have developed a truly global presence and built up a distributor network of more than 50 dealers worldwide.

Continual growth has been facilitated by the addition of new innovations to an already extensive product range, allowing the company to break into new markets such as South Africa, Japan, Spain and Central America.

Darragh Cullen, managing director of EDGE Innovate, commented that the introduction of a recycling division alongside the company’s original materials handling division in February 2014 had allowed EDGE to segment their product offering.

‘Combined with an aggressive marketing strategy, this strategic decision has resulted in the EDGE product range appealing to an increasingly diverse target market, in particular to the European and American markets,’ he said.

‘To walk away with the ‘Best Exporter’ award is great recognition of the efforts of all those who represent EDGE Innovate around the globe.’
