Another new-generation cone crusher from Metso

Following the success of the HP 4 and HP5 cone crushers, Metso introduce the new HP3 version

FOLLOWING the success of their HP4 and HP5 cone crushers, Metso have broadened the product range with the introduction of the new HP3 unit.

Metso say this mid-range cone crusher benefits from more than 70 years’ experience in crushing technology, while specifically addressing customer requirements for large capacity, ease of operation and a high reduction ratio.

The HP3 also meets market demands for increased production quality, reduced maintenance time and low operating costs.

According to Metso, the new generation HP models are comparable to their predecessors but offer increased versatility. The HP3 is the size of an HP200 but delivers the output of an HP300.

The HP3 has a nominal feed opening of 220mm, a motor size of up to 220kW (300hp) and it weighs 13,280kg.

Production of the HP3 series began at the Metso factory in France in September 2011 and several orders have already been received for secondary and tertiary applications.

Since 2009 nearly 300 new-generation HP cone crushers have been commissioned, and Metso say the HP3 market will be primarily centered on gravel pit applications.
