Allu unveil ‘cartridge’ drum replacement system

Allu DL Series drum replacement bucket system

New system allows Allu DL Series bucket users to change processing drums with minimal fuss

IN response to customer demand, Allu have developed a new ‘cartridge’ drum replacement system for their DL range of screening and aerating buckets, allowing users to change processing drums with minimal fuss.

Patented rear-mounted drums mean that the complete drum and bearing assembly can be removed and replaced, allowing customers to adapt their Allu bucket to suit different conditions and jobs.

The Allu DL Series includes a range of 15mm to 50mm screening and aerating buckets to fit 2–12-tonne excavators, telehandlers and skid-steers. Applications include fine screening, aeration and homogenizing consolidated materials such as soil or clay for backfill.

Chris Bell of Finlay Hire Ltd said: ‘It's a welcome addition to the range and allows our customers to have one bucket that they can adapt to suit different jobs and conditions. The DL Series is an ideal tool for landscapers or utilities contractors using smaller plant who want to utilize and reclaim usable products on site.’

Finlay Hire Ltd can supply DL Series buckets as a discounted package with both a fine screening and an aeration drum cartridge, along with optional extras such as multiple bracket heads for different machines for maximum versatility.

The complete range of Allu attachments for screening, crushing, shredding and aerating now covers plant from 2-tonne mini-diggers up to 100-tonne faceshovel excavators working as primary crushers in quarries.

‘We’re happy to be in a position where we can now offer Allu products to suit such a wide range of budgets, base machines and applications,’ said Mr Bell. ‘There’s a machine for customers who want high tonnages and are running heavy plant in demanding applications, as well as units for those who just want an easily transportable screening bucket to complement their plant but don't want to break the bank.’
