Swedish OEM also use inauguration to launch new tiltrotators and rotor couplers

STEELWRIST, global manufacturers of tiltrotators, quick-couplers, and work tools for excavators, have marked the official opening of their German subsidiary with a special two-day event that also launched the company’s largest and ‘most innovative’ product line-up.

Steelwrist Deutschland GmbH’s new facility in Hamburg welcomed customers and members of the press and shared insights and details about a host of brand-new products, including a new rotor couplers product category, compactors, and grapples

The centrepiece of the launch event was the XTR20 tiltrotator, the first model of the company’s third-generation tiltrotators, which has been engineered for use on 16-20 ton excavators and features LockSense – a new patented safety solution for work tool locking.

The XTR20 also benefits from lubrication-free, triple-sealed bearings in all the main joints, and Steelwrist’s new OptiLube automatic on-board lubrication system.

With the launch of the XR7 and XR20 rotor couplers, Steelwrist are introducing a completely new product range in their already comprehensive line-up. The rotor coupler adds flexibility and efficiency, allowing the work tool to rotate 360° continuously.

With the two first models launched, the company targets two important machine segments, with the XR7 for 4- to 7-ton excavators and the XR20 for 14- to 20-ton excavators.

Stefan Stockhaus, chief executive officer of Steelwrist, commented: ‘The XTR20 represents a leap forward in performance and reliability, and with features like LockSense, OptiLube, more tilt and rotation torque, and easy upgradeability, we are demonstrating our continued commitment to improving excavator efficiency.

‘With the introduction of the XR7 and XR20 rotor couplers, we are further expanding our already wide product range and focusing on turning the excavator into a tool carrier. Rotor couplers are obviously a product that does not have the same productivity as a tiltrotator, but also not the same price tag, with the advantages of easy installation and the same robustness found in all of Steelwrist products.’
