Weightron Bilanciai expand UK service network

Company opens new offices and increases nationwide weighbridge calibration capabilities

AS part of a strategic consolidation in the UK market, Weightron Bilanciai Ltd have expanded their service and calibration capabilities to meet increased demand for their weighbridge systems.

A new sales office in Faversham, Kent, has recently opened to serve the growing number of customers located in the Home Counties and along the south coast. This modern facility will provide a key local point of contact for all sales, service and calibration issues in the region.

In the South West, Weightron’s Taunton operation has moved into larger custom premises adjacent to J26 of the M5 motorway. The Taunton facility is the centre for the company’s accredited UKAS calibration laboratory providing UKAS-certified calibration of weighing equipment up to 1,500kg.

To increase nationwide weighbridge calibration capabilities, Weightron have recently put a new 44-tonne articulated test unit on the road. This investment increases Weightron’s weighbridge calibration capabilities for new and existing bridges.

‘Maintaining ongoing equipment reliability and accuracy is equally important for us,’ explained Weightron service director Dave Clark. ‘Therefore, we provide comprehensive and structured service and support packages to ensure weighing equipment is kept in tip-top condition. Although it may be tempting for end-users to adopt an ‘if it ain’t broke don’t fix it’ approach, this is false economy and a practice we try to discourage.

‘Unwanted breakdowns of essential weighing equipment such as weighbridges or process weighing systems are typically very expensive, while even small inaccuracies can impact bottom-line profitability. Customers welcome local support and these latest investments in people, facilities and equipment further endorse our leading position as the UK’s largest weighbridge supplier.’
