Vulcan Materials elect new director

Duke Energy’s Melissa H. Anderson joins board of directors of Vulcan Materials Company

VULCAN Materials Company, the largest producers of construction aggregates in the US, have announced the election of Melissa H. Anderson to their board of directors, effective immediately.

Ms Anderson (pictured), who will serve on the Compensation and Safety, Health and Environmental Affairs committees, is the executive vice-president and chief human resources officer of Duke Energy Corp., one of the largest energy holding companies in the US, delivering electric, natural gas and renewable energy services across the country.

 

‘We are fortunate to welcome Melissa Anderson to Vulcan’s board of directors,’ said Vulcan Materials Company chairman and chief executive officer Tom Hill.

With the addition of Ms Anderson, Vulcan’s 11-member board consists of 10 independent directors.
