Iain Walker takes on responsibility for growing business across key markets globally

TEREX Washing Systems (TWS) have announced the appointment of Iain Walker as global sales director. Based at the company’s headquarters in Northern Ireland, he will be responsible for working closely with the sales, marketing, engineering and after-sales teams in order to grow the business across key markets globally.

Previously a regional manager within the material processing and washing industry, Mr Walker’s career in this sector began in 2002 and has included responsibility for direct sales, dealer management, and marketing and sales team leadership, including directorship of an operation based in Kolkata.

TWS say he combines technical expertise specific to materials washing, considerable export sales experience, the ability to develop and lead multiple sales channels, and an unrivalled sectoral knowledge of the Middle East, Asian and African markets.

‘As a growing global leader in the industry, this is such an exciting time to be joining TWS,’ said Mr Walker. ‘I am delighted to lead the TWS sales team and am enthusiastic about the potential business prospects in a recovering economy, as we continually evolve and strive to provide our customers with world-leading washing solutions.’

Commenting on Mr Walker’s recent appointment, TWS product line director Sean Loughran said: ‘Iain brings a wealth of experience to the role having been responsible for significant sales growth in many regions, including the Middle East and Africa.

‘His experience will help improve our presence in the global marketplace, which, ultimately, will impact positively on our responsiveness to distributors and customers by offering first-class service, expertise and knowledge in the field of mineral and material washing.’
