Transport Workplace Safety

This autumn the Health and Safety Executive will be cracking down on the risks posed by the unsafe use of transport in the workplace. The HSE warns that non-compliance with legislation can not only lead to serious accidents, but also leaves companies and individuals open to prosecution.

As a result, the Freight Transport Association is to hold a series of one-day seminars across the UK between October and December, to help ensure companies are legally compliant.

Workplace Transport Safety 2003 has been organized with the support and participation of the HSE and will provide health and safety professionals, transport managers, human resources managers, directors and senior management with all the latest developments in workplace transport safety and best practice.

The seminar dates and locations are: 7 October – Bolton; 4 November – Grangemouth; 13 November – Leeds; 18 November – Weston-super-Mare; 25 November – Nottingham; and 2 December – Heathrow.

The conference costs £310 + VAT for FTA members, with second and subsequent delegates at £250 + VAT, and £360 + VAT for non-members, with second and subsequent delegates at £320 + VAT.
