TEREX Finlay on the cutting edge at Hillhead
As they approach their 50th year in business, Northern Ireland-based TEREX Finlay, official sponsors of the recycling demonstration area at Hillhead 2007, say they are looking forward with confidence to further market growth this year. The company, which is part of the worldwide Terex Corp., plan to use Hillhead to demonstrate their recently launched C-1540 cone crusher and as the launch pad for their new I-1310RS impact crusher.
However, as well as these two track-mounted crushers, which will be on display (stand L5) and demonstration in the main showground, visitors to this year’s show should also look out for TEREX Finlay’s recently launched MP-300 mobile washing plant, an example of which will be on display in the specially prepared cutting next to the main entrance/registration pavilion.
The 19m long MP-300, which promises to be one of the highlights of Hillhead 2007, comprises a 16ft x 6ft Cedarapids horizontal screen (with spraybars) and a Finlay 206 log-washer, both equipped with all-round catwalks, together with a 650mm wide oversize conveyor, a 5ft x 4ft dewatering screen and an 800mm wide hydraulically folding rear conveyor, all mounted on a robust chassis equipped with hydraulic jacking legs.
According to TEREX Finlay, the unit is quick and easy to install with minimal site preparation and no major civil works required. Moreover, all the major components fold away for ease of transport on the back of a step-frame trailer, making the MP-300 an extremely mobile system.
Capable of being connected to other TEREX Finlay plant, such as the 390 Hydrascreen, 683 Supertrak and SM45 Siltmaster, the company say the MP-300 can be used to form part of a complete mobile washing solution or to supplement existing equipment on a temporary basis during surges in demand.
