Strathclyde Vulcanising Services appoint three new members including experienced vulcaniser Rea Cardwell

CUMBERNAULD-based Strathclyde Vulcanising Services Ltd (SVS) have announced the appointment of three new team members, including experienced vulcaniser Rea Cardwell, who has spent the past six years working for a market-leading conveyor belting firm in Northern Ireland, performing tasks such as hot molding, cold bonding and, more recently, lead vulcanization.

In his new role with SVS, Mr Cardwell will play an integral part in the company’s off-site vulcanizing and reactive service support programme. Also new to the SVS team are trainee vulcanisers Matthew Glen and John McInally.

Commenting on the recent appointments, SVS managing director Gerry O’Donnell said: ‘We’re delighted to welcome Rea, Matthew and John to SVS. Having already shown potential to further their careers within the vulcanising industry, we’re excited to give them the support and experience they need to perform for our customers, and further their own personal progression.’
