Solvent-less analysis
Tarmac have installed Carbolite’s solvent-free ABA asphalt binder analyser at eight of their northern area quarries in order to minimize the use of methylene chloride solvent and improve the safety of laboratory staff.
At the company’s UKAS-accredited laboratory in Coxhoe, the Carbolite equipment is being used alongside an ABA analyser to carry out cross-check testing as required by the Sector Scheme protocols.
