Simple fuel control by Liquid Management Solutions

Fuel-management system

LMS introduce simplified Cactus fuel-management solution for single-pump operations

FUEL-control specialists Liquid Management Solutions Ltd (LMS), who have been providing their established robust and reliable Cactus web-based fuel-management solutions to UK quarrying, recycling and mining operators for more than a decade, have now brought to the market a simple and cost-effective Cactus fuel-management solution aimed solely at managing a single fuel pump.

The Cactus offline fuel-management solution operates using contactless tags that can be assigned to a vehicle, supplied to a driver, or a combination of the two. Users can be prompted to manually enter either mileage or engine hours before the system allows fuel to be dispensed. There is also an optional facility to link the Cactus offline fuel-management terminal to tank gauging and low level alarms to provide fuel stock information.

This easily programmable, non-Internet-based solution, which does not require any significant IT resource or knowledge, is delivered to the client ready for use and easily installed by a competent electrician. The PC software is simple and easy to use even for the novice, allowing simple, legible reports to be produced after the transaction data have been exported to the PC via a USB stick.

The main features of the Cactus offline system include:

  • LED display
  • Full logging of fuel transactions
  • Personalized users
  • Simple data transfer using an external USB stick
  • Easy-to-use management software reporting package
  • Monitoring of up to 200 vehicles/drivers.

‘This simple offline solution has been designed for some of our national clients who operate smaller locations that merely require basic entry fuel access control, while still having the peace of mind that fuel is being managed,’ said LMS general manager Mike Bowker.
