Shering continue investment programme

"Over the past year Shering Weighing have continued their investment programme with the purchase of two new weighbridge calibration units at a cost of £250,000."

"The high-specification units include two Mercedes-Benz Actros 2540LS tractor units, King GTS44/3 low-loader tailers and Jungheinrich DFG 25 BS forklift trucks. Carrying a dead weight of 44 tonnes, the vehicle comprises 23-tonne calibrated test weights traceable to National Standard."

The purchase of the units is only one part of Shering’s overall investment in the calibration division which has seen all weighbridge service engineers trained to become self-verifiers. The service offers full testing in accordance with the UKWF calibration code of practice with special high-specification features resulting in a fast turnaround and eliminating restricted-access problems. A comprehensive certificate of calibration is supplied as required by ISO 9001 or similar quality systems.
