Severn Trent honour Selwood

Selwood awarded for their contribution in the Gloucester floods

At a recent awards dinner hosted by Severn Trent Water, Selwood were presented with an award for their outstanding contribution in the Gloucester flooding incident in 2007.

Tony Wray (pictured right), managing director of Severn Trent, presented the award to Selwood’s key account manager, Jim Mendham.

Selwood have a CPA agreement with Severn Trent and were heavily involved in supplying pumps over several weeks during the floods in Gloucester. A variety of pumps were used from 8in diesel pumps to small hydraulic pumps and included a range of the company’s environmentally friendly super silent pumps. The pumps were supplied from five of the company’s nationwide branch network at Nottingham, Birmingham, Mancetter, Bristol and Bridgend.

As Jim Mendham commented: ‘This was a very traumatic time for many people and I am only pleased that we had the resources to help in a quick and efficient way.’
