Selwood win largest ever single pump order

Total of 181 pump packages to be shipped to Ecuador

Selwood have secured the largest ever single pump order to a value of $3.5 million.



A total of 181 pump packages have been ordered by Petro – Ecuador comprising of: 88 S150 Seltorque Fast Tow units; 93 PD75 Spates, complete with oil-tolerant regulators, chalwyn valves and spark arrestors, all supplied with a significant quantity of hose and accessories.



Production has already begun at Selwood’s newly refurbished factory in Chandler’s Ford, Hampshire. Twenty-five 40ft containers will be used to deliver the units to Ecuador with the first shipment departing the UK on 27 February.


 

As one of Selwood’s original pump designs, with solids handling capabilities of 100mm, the Seltorque range form the foundation upon which the company’s international reputation has been built. The Selwood Spate is renowned for its suitability on all oil recovery applications as well as being highly suited to a variety of demanding site conditions.



Commenting on the contract, Selwood’s managing director Chris Garrett said: ‘With the current economic climate this record order has made it the perfect start to the new year. The entire Selwood Pumps team has worked hard, alongside our local representatives, to secure this order ensuring that we fully meet our client’s expectations and are all to be congratulated for their diligence and teamwork.’
