Sebastian Coe to address IQ conference

THE 2008 annual conference of the Institute of Quarrying will focus on providing an understanding of how the rapidly developing sustainable construction agenda will affect the materials supply chain, with particular reference to major projects taking place in London and the South East.

Contributions to the programme are being made by all parties involved in the construction process, including architects, developers and consultants, and the special guest speaker will be Lord Sebastian Coe, chair of the London 2012 Olympic Organising Committee, who will talk about the challenges associated with meeting the Olympic deadline.

The conference is being organized by the Institute in association with the Quarry Products Association and the UK Green Building Council, and the symposium will take place at the Beaumont House Conference Centre, Old Windsor, on Tuesday 30 September.
