RWM 2018

RWM exhibition

Two-day showcase exhibition for the recycling and waste-management industry

TAKING place at the NEC, Birmingham, from 12–13 September, RWM 2018 is Europe’s premier event for resource efficiency and waste-management solutions. The annual show – run in partnership with the Chartered Institute of Wastes Management (CIWM) – attracts around 500 exhibitors and more than 12,000 recycling and resource-management professionals from around the world.

It is the only exhibition of its kind covering all aspects of the recycling and waste hierarchy, giving visitors an ideal platform to collaborate with forward-thinking businesses, public sector bodies, government departments and not-for-profit organizations on building a more resource-efficient future.

Across both days of the show, RWM 2018 will present no less than 350 inspirational, expert-led sessions from some of the industry’s leading organizations and most reputable professionals. Offering expert advice and invaluable guidance and support, the daily theatre seminar sessions will give waste, sustainability and resource professionals a chance to share knowledge and ideas, and the opportunity to create new business contacts.

Some of the high-profile speakers confirmed at the event include: Sir John Armitt, chair of the National Infrastructure Commission; Margaret Bates, president of CIWM; Jacqueline O’Donovan, managing director of O’Donovan Waste Disposal; Craig Michel of Zappshelter; Nick Cliffe, interim head of materials for Innovate UK; Mark Abbas, chief marketing officer for AMCS Group; and Charles Coe, energy hub manager for Mace.

The event will also be a showcase platform for hundreds of exhibitors promoting the latest technological innovations and a wide range of environmentally sound and cost-effective solutions.

This year’s exhibition will be split into five key zones – Energy from Waste, Handling & Logistics, Machinery & Equipment, Recyclers & Reprocessers and Data Tech & Services – to help make navigation simple, efficient and visitor-friendly. There will also be an ‘Innovation Trail’ which will showcase a plethora of RWM exhibitors who are pushing the boundaries of innovation with their products or services.

According to the show’s organizers, the Innovation Trail is the perfect guide for those on the hunt for the latest equipment, systems and services across the recycling and waste-management sector.

The special zone also marks a dedicated space for attendees to network with some of the industry’s key players, along with the Networking Area where they can discover a focused area away from the exhibition floor to build new and beneficial relationships with like-minded professionals and companies.
