Rugged Flexiprobe deflection switch

TROLEX have launched the latest version of their Flexiprobe multi-purpose limit switch, which offers extensive applications in the quarrying, coal and mining industries, owing to its tough, heavy-duty specification and rugged design.

The switch features a variety of roller and paddle accessories for the end of its high-flex urethane polymer probe actuator, allowing it to be used for position sensing, movement detection, safety interlocks, level detection, conveyor detection, vehicle detection etc.

The multi-purpose switch can detect and monitor material flow on a conveyor belt, belt alignment, water flow, spillage and rope run-out, as well as providing emergency stop detection.

It includes no electronic components, thereby ensuring ensure low-cost maintenance and high levels of reliability. For robustness, the switch features a rugged housing moulded in impact-resistant reinforced nylon 66, and is dust-tight and waterproof to IP67 standards.

Internally, there is a heavy-duty 10-amp rated contact at 300V AC with large, easily accessible connections, while two M20 threaded cable entries are positioned on the sides of the housing.
