Renold PM Series added to ‘Rapid Response’ programme

RENOLD Gears say their PM Series range of geared motors has now been added to the company’s ‘off-the-shelf’ availability programme, known as ‘Rapid Response’.

Developed in response to market demands for increased availability, this increasingly popular programme aims to make a product available from stock components, thereby significantly reducing lead times for customers.

The PM Series shaft-mounted and foot-mounted geared motors are available in either bevel/helical, helical-worm or single-worm versions with output bores up to 100mm in diameter.

Motors up to 55kW can be fitted to the units, and all the inputs are designed to take IEC frame motors which simply plug into the pre-assembled motor adaptor, thus eliminating the need for special motors.

A wide range of output speeds is available; this has been achieved by utilizing a large variation of primary helical gears and only a minimum number of final reductions.

Options for the PM Series include: integrated holdbacks; plug-in output shafts; and vertical drywell options.

The ‘Rapid Response’ programme was first rolled out more than 12 months ago with the popular SMXtra shaft-mounted gearbox range, where Renold are committed to having the popular sizes and ratios available for same-day despatch.

The PM Series is available from Renold’s north-Manchester plant in Milnrow, where the product is manufactured and stocked.
