Rapid International launch new mobile batch plant

Rapid Transbatch

Company adds to its mobile concrete batching plant range with introduction of the Rapid Transbatch

RAPID International, based in Tandragee, Northern Ireland, have launched the Rapid Transbatch, a new mobile batch plant equipped with a Rapid twin-shaft mixer and capable of achieving outputs of up to 100 cubic metres per hour.

Mark Lappin, managing director of Rapid International, said: ‘This machine offers customers another option from our mobile batch plant range. As with all of our machinery, most of the components used are British made, which guarantees the machine’s longevity. The extra-thick chill-cast tiles in the mixing chamber ensure that it is one of the highest-quality mixers on the market today.’

The plant is fully mobile with stairs and access walkways around mixer that fold and dismantle for transport purposes, making it suitable for short-term contracts or projects requiring on-site mixing. It boasts four 10 cubic metre capacity aggregate bins with pneumatic discharge doors and a 1,000mm wide weigh belt which transports the material to the mixer.

The 1,750kg cement weigh hopper comes complete with aeration, a pneumatic vibrator and a pneumatic outlet butterfly valve. Twin additive meters containing two pumps are supplied as standard with the option of adding more additive meters if required.

The Transbatch 100 features the large-capacity RT3000 twin-shaft mixer (3 cubic metre output), while the Transbatch 60 comes with an RT1500 twin-shaft mixer (1.5 cubic metre output). Both mixers feature extra-thick chill-cast tiles and mixing tools, together with hinged access covers and a hydraulic discharge door for easy maintenance and discharge.

The Rapid Tranbatch plant features an automatic control system with starter panel and pneumatics panel housed in a built-in control room positioned at the truck-loading area. The plant is also available with a ‘winterisation’ package for use in countries that experience harsh winters.
