Polish representation generates sales

DESPITE the current economic climate, Eriez Magnetics Europe are continuing to grow and looking to appoint new sales representatives across Europe. A recent example of success for the company is the appointment of Poland-based Luxor – Maszyny do Odpadow.

Since the appointment of Luxor, over 200 new enquiries have been generated for Eriez equipment, including permanent magnetic pulleys, metal detectors and permanent suspended overband magnets. These enquiries were the result of exhibiting at Polish trade shows and visits to customers from different industries.

Many of the enquiries received have since progressed to orders, which has helped Eriez double the quantity of orders in Poland. The company has also recruited Polish national Agnieszka Dzien into its sales team based in Bedwas, South Wales.

She commented: ‘Appointing new agents in Eastern Europe has helped us to increase brand awareness in new territories. While Western European countries have struggled through recession, Eastern European markets seemed to resist the strain. This year the Polish economy has registered considerable growth, which gives us good business opportunities.’

Along with Poland, countries with new representatives appointed by Eriez over the past year include Slovenia, Slovakia, Portugal and Algeria.
