US firm Philippi-Hagenbuch licenses rear-eject body technology to CeDe Group of Sweden

PHILIPPI-Hagenbuch Inc. (PHIL) have announced the signing of a rear-eject technology licensing agreement with CeDe Group of Malmö, Sweden, that commenced on 6 December 2013.

Under the terms of the partnership, PHIL are licensing their rear-eject technology for use in off-highway body applications within the construction and mining sectors to CeDe for use in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Australia.

Rear-eject bodies manufactured under the licensing agreement by CeDe and shipped into Europe, the Middle East and Africa will be branded as CeDe products, whilst bodies shipped into Australia will be branded under the PHIL brand name.

‘CeDe Group are an outstanding company who engineer and manufacture a diverse line of equipment for the construction and mining industries. Because of their close proximity to the Port of Malmö and close co-operation with Volvo Construction Equipment, CeDe are able to build customized equipment for Volvo CE products, install their products on prime machines and ship them as turnkey solutions direct to dealers or end-users globally,’ said Josh Swank, vice-president of sales and marketing for PHIL.

‘This agreement will help PHIL expand into the European, Middle East and African markets with our rear-eject bodies, and will help CeDe further expand into customized articulated hauler solutions.’

Located in Peoria, Illinois, PHIL have been building customized equipment for off-highway haul trucks since 1969. In addition to custom trailers, truck bodies, lowboy trailers, vehicle recovery tools (VRTs) and rear-eject bodies, the company designs and builds tailgates and water tanks for nearly every make and model of articulated and rigid-frame off-highway truck available.
