Nordberg (UK) awarded Broyt distributorship

NORDBERG (UK) Ltd have been appointed as the sole UK distributors of the Broyt range of track- and wheel-mounted faceshovels. The agreement further expands Nordberg's product line, which currently includes Nordberg crushers and screens, Rammer hydraulic hammers and attachments, and Sandvik rock drills.

Commenting on their appointment, Nordberg (UK) Ltd's managing director, Brian Moseley, said: 'The addition of the Broyt range of excavators means that we now offer a full line of hard rock quarrying solutions from the face to the stockpile.'

Under the distributorship agreement, Nordberg (UK) Ltd will be responsible for the sale and support of the 600, 800 and 1000 series of Broyt faceshovels, which are manufactured in Turku, Finland, by the Sandvik Tamrock Corporation. Powered by Volvo, Cummins or Caterpillar diesel engines, with an electro-diesel version offered as an option, these models cover the 40-65-tonne operating weight class and offer bucket capacities ranging from 3.4m3 to 5.3m3.

Roger Wyles, whose name has been synonymous with the Broyt brand for the past 17 years, is to join Nordberg (UK) Ltd as product manager.
