Eurovia Specialist Treatments business manager appointed as new chairman of Road Surface Treatments Association

EUROVIA Specialist Treatments business manager Kevin Amos has been appointed as the new chairman of the Road Surface Treatments Association (RSTA), effective 12 April 2018, and will lead the membership organization for the next 12 months.

Mr Amos began his career as a 16-year-old apprentice at Gloucestershire County Council, before transferring to Gloucestershire Contracting in 1989, and then to Ringway in 1998. During his career at Ringway he was part of the team that set up a specialist treatments division and he has now been with Eurovia Specialist Treatments (EST) for 18 years.

Five years ago he became a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Highways & Transportation (CIHT) and he also represents the UK on the BS510 committee for microsurfacing.

Mr Amos, who has been heavily involved with the RSTA for many years, and has served as chairman of the Slurry Surfacing Contractors’ Association (SSCA), said: ‘Having worked in the industry for many years, it is a huge privilege to represent my fellow members who are responsible for maintaining our roads and helping to keep Britain on the move.

‘I look forward to working with the RSTA and sharing the experience and knowledge I have forged with EST with others to drive the industry forwards.’
