New Mosa diesel-driven welder generator
Currently available from industrial equipment suppliers Wilkinson Star is the Mosa CT230 SX Plus (pictured above) – a new Yanmar, air-cooled, diesel-driven welder generator rated 210A at 35% duty cycle and 140A at 100% duty cycle.
The unit utilizes advanced high -frequency chopper technology and features a new welding PCB with ‘Power Optimiser’ and programmed control for maximum welding current that produces a continuous welding current range from 20A to 210A, with an OCV (Open Circuit Voltage) of 65V.
Another major feature of the CT230 SX Plus is that it can be used to weld up to 4mm basic/rutile electrodes and 5mm cellulosic electrodes in any position. As a generator, the unit can provide auxiliary single-phase AC power generation at 5kVA/230V/21.7A and 2.5kVA/110V/22.7A.
The Mosa welder generator has a 23-litre fuel tank (up to 20h running time at 60% duty cycle) and fuel consumption is 245g/kWh. It weighs 247kg, measures 1,050mm x 650mm x 920mm and comes with a low-fuel/oil pressure indicator, ground fault interrupter protection, electric start, arc force, a voltmeter, a thermal shut-off and a central lifting eye.
