Dave Roberts

Dave Roberts appointed as new managing director with responsibility for all UK operations

KUBOTA UK have announced the appointment of Dave Roberts as the company’s new managing director. Mr Roberts was previously general manager - sales and marketing for Kubota’s three main product sectors – Construction, Engines and Tractor & Groundcare. His promotion to managing director means he is now responsible for heading up all UK operations.
 
Commenting on his new appointment, Mr Roberts said: ‘Kubota is a market-leading brand that has earned a fantastic reputation in its core markets for providing our end-user customers with high-performance, quality and reliable products, backed up by first-class aftersales support.
 
‘Our aim now is to build on this successful platform and help take the company to the next level. This will be done by the Kubota team continuing to work in partnership with our dealers and developing the network further.
 
‘Overall, our goals are to maintain and build on our excellent market position in key sectors, such as compact tractors, mini-excavators and sub-100kW diesel engines, by continually developing our product and aftersales offering to ensure we keep one step ahead of the competition.’

Mr Roberts has a wealth of experience having worked in various roles at Kubota UK for more than 22 years, which has given him a broad knowledge of the overall business. More recently he worked at Farol Ltd as operations director, giving him invaluable experience from a dealer’s perspective.

‘To be the first UK national to be made managing director is a great privilege and illustrates Kubota’s commitment to the continued development of key markets around the globe,’ added Mr Roberts. ‘It has been a personal ambition of mine and I fully intend to maximize on this opportunity for the benefit of all our customers both new and existing.’
