New managing director at Ecocem Ireland

Micheál McKittrick

Micheál McKittrick appointed in wake of company’s further expansion into UK market

ECOCEM Ireland Ltd, producers of high-performance low-carbon cement, have announced the appointment of Micheál McKittrick as managing director, Ireland and UK.

A Chartered Engineer and an advocate of sustainable construction, Mr McKittrick previously worked in several senior roles with Atkins Consulting Engineers. His new appointment comes in the wake of Ecocem Ireland’s further expansion into the UK market.

Speaking from the company’s state-of-the-art facility in Dublin Port, he said: ‘I look forward to expanding Ecocem’s business domestically and internationally, and will continue to develop the Irish markets of both bulk and bagged cement with an increasing focus on innovative products to help deliver value to our customers.’

Ecocem opened their second import terminal in Sheerness, Kent, in early April 2017, providing capacity to supply more than 450,000 tonnes per annum into the UK market.
